Midjourney logo & brand mark — scalable marks that pass the favicon test
Vector-ready logos built on negative space and geometric precision — includes the favicon scalability test, two style examples (monoline vs emblem), and the Ideogram workflow for adding text that doesn't look garbled.
Midjourney is excellent for marks and emblems (not for legible text — that's Ideogram's job). Two style recipes: STYLE 1 — MONOLINE / MINIMAL MARK: 'Minimalist monoline logo of [subject or concept], [brand personality, e.g. modern and trustworthy], [1-2 color palette], clean geometric shapes, golden ratio proportions, strong negative space, flat design, centered on a plain white background, simple enough to read at 16x16 pixels, no text --ar 1:1 --style raw --no photo, realistic, gradient, drop shadow, 3d, complexity' STYLE 2 — EMBLEM / BADGE: 'Vintage emblem logo of [subject or concept], [brand personality, e.g. heritage and craft], circular badge composition, [2-3 color palette], engraving-style line detail, symmetrical, negative space focal point, centered on a plain white background, no text --ar 1:1 --style raw --no photo, realistic, gradient, drop shadow' Example (monoline): 'Minimalist monoline logo of a mountain inside a coffee cup, calm and premium, forest green and cream, clean geometric shapes, golden ratio proportions, strong negative space, flat design, centered on a plain white background, simple enough to read at 16x16 pixels, no text --ar 1:1 --style raw --no photo, realistic, gradient, drop shadow, 3d, complexity' Example (emblem): 'Vintage emblem logo of a compass rose with an anchor, heritage and adventure, navy blue and antique gold on cream, circular badge composition, engraving-style line detail, symmetrical, negative space focal point, centered on a plain white background, no text --ar 1:1 --style raw --no photo, realistic, gradient, drop shadow' The expert design principles baked in: • THE FAVICON TEST: Add 'simple enough to read at 16x16 pixels' — if a logo doesn't work as a favicon, it fails at the smallest and most common use case. This constraint forces Midjourney toward cleaner marks. • GOLDEN RATIO PROPORTIONS: Premium logos (Apple, Twitter, Pepsi) are built on golden ratio circles and geometry. Mentioning it nudges the composition toward that balanced, 'just looks right' quality. • NEGATIVE SPACE IS THE HALLMARK OF PREMIUM: The FedEx arrow, the Spartan Golf logo — the magic is in what's NOT drawn. Adding 'strong negative space' and 'negative space focal point' pushes toward that level. • THE IDEOGRAM WORKFLOW FOR TEXT: Generate your mark in Midjourney → upscale → bring it into Ideogram with the prompt 'Add the wordmark [BRAND NAME] in [font style, e.g. clean sans-serif] below this logo mark' → then vectorize the final composite in Illustrator or Vectorizer.ai. Tips: always generate on white — it's easier to swap backgrounds later; run the result through Vectorizer.ai or Image Trace immediately — raster logos are useless in production; test your top pick at 16px, 32px, 128px, and full size before committing.
